Links to most of the Elephant facebook pages

In view of there being so many elephant facebook pages, and guaranteed when you are trying to remember which one you were looking for with a specific post, guaranteed you can probably not find it,  so, with this in mind we have decided to create a post dedicated to all the elephant facebook pages, at least the ones that we know of.

If we come across any more we will add them, or if you know of any that are not here, perhaps you would like to add them.

So to conclude this post :

If you are passionate about 1. The health, general well being and the future of all Elephants, 2. The importance of all Elephants being released from Captivity or 3. Against the cruel killings of elephants for their tusks 4.Support the release of elephants who have been cruelly abused like Sunder and would like to keep up to date by joining the Abused elephant Sunder's Fan Club for example or 6 do not believe that young elephants who are found by their Dead Mothers sides and then hijacked, kept in barns for months on end while their spirits are broken till they are trained often in an unnatural and cruel way to become street beggars or 7 Do not believe that Elephants should be trained, again in a cruel way, to be used for rides or circus's, please could you help to support our elephants by linking to some or all of the below mentioned facebook pages.

On behalf of all elephants who need our support and to be given the chance of a lifetime that Nature created for them and not the life that 'Greed' has created for them, thank you all for looking at this post.

The only thing we would ask is that you are considerate towards each Countries beliefs /  Religions and that any comments you make will not, potentially, make the life of an elephant worse than it is already. We all need to be thoughtful towards the best way forward and to consider ways of making those abusers more passionate about the animals under their hands. There is always a way, just sometimes we need to look at things from a different angle.

These have NOT been put in any order so please do not take offence if you discover your Group part way down.  . . thank you.

Scotland for Elephants

A group of people in Scotland dedicated to raising awareness about the ivory trade and the fate of elephants across Africa.

DescriptionIt is said that elephants could be extinct by 2025, but the figures change and it could be even sooner than that. With long pregnancies and mating starting in their early twenties, the species don't stand a chance if the killing continues at this rate. While the governments acknowledge the crisis, the elephants still need 'ordinary' people who are determined to raise awareness about the ivory trade and what it does to elephants and humans likewise. This is where we step in.

The Sparkling Elephant

Description
On a flight from TZ to South Africa's famous INDABA trade show Marlies Gabriel shared an aisle and a conversation with a high-volume safari-booking agent from the U.S. When they got to talking about elephants, one of Marlies’ passions, she asked his estimation of what will happen to tourism when the elephants disappear. He was emphatic in his response, “Tourism will cease to exist as we know it.”

Later, when disembarking in SA, Marlies caught sight of the Amarula elephant and an idea was hatched; The Sparkling Elephant Project was born.
Upon returning home, Marlies contacted a local artist and friend, Remy Chama. He and his assistant Ema built a life-sized elephant from welded re-bars and chicken wire and named it Mwalimu. The name sprung from the idea that the elephant should spread the word and teach people about the ills of poaching.

When finished, Mwalimu was carted from Momella to the Karibu Fair in Kisongo where he was an instant hit. Hundreds of people stopped by to see what Mwalimu was all about and to help cover him in shanga (glass beads) threaded on wire. Altogether, people strung 2,000 beads on the elephant.

Welcome to the group Elephant Warrior. Elephants need our support. They are slaughtered for their ivory. They are tormented in zoos , circuses and as working elephants.
Elephants are very social animals and need to be with others. They are intelligent and very sensitive. In circus and zoos elephants suffer terrible distress. There is no place for social interactions. Many are chained for the majority of their life. A lifetime in chains, beaten and suffering from diseases.

"Captive elephants who have lived in zoos or circuses for years, sometimes their entire lives, will not and cannot be returned to the wild. The Big Rumble

Zoos are once again raiding the wild for elephants to put on display. Elephants are not thriving in U.S. zoos, where they are dying faster than they can be bred. The practice of capturing and importing wild-caught elephants is archaic and inhumane, and it flies in the face of all we know about elephants' intelligence, intricate social fabric, sensitivity and self-awareness.

Please remember these guidelines are there to ensure that the focus remains on the plight of the elephants and is not digressed.

We now have 27,900 viewers to this site, how wonderful is that .  . thank you one and all.
May we all continue to promote good health and mental well being for all living creatures.

Bacteria eating combo virus being sprayed on meats, cheeses and organic foods . .

Natural News has recently posted an article on Bacteria eating combo virus being sprayed on meats, cheeses and organic foods  .

Sadly it was just a matter of time before this came to the surface . . . the majority of us eat what we are given or what looks beautiful on the shelves - no matter what is in it.

If you know the things we cover many of you will know our feelings on foods and our own individual chemical balances, so we will not harp. In brief:

We are all made up of individual chemical balances - but each is different, and each food reacts differently with each chemical balance.

From the amount of diet sheets we have been asked to do for our Clients each diet sheet has been different and many health issues resolved.

If we can all learn to listen to our basic instincts (just as many animals do -we must not forget that we, as humans are part of the animals race) and not be ruled by what we see or greed then each and every one of us would know what to eat, how to cook it and what foods can be mixed together or indeed served together without it having a reaction on our individual systems or health then it would not be long till we stopped buying the things that are placed on the shelves by the powers that be and the food that WE WANT replacing the things we automatically buy at the moment.

At the end of the day, if things are not moving off the shelves super stores and shops take them off and replace them with something else which is beautifully packaged therefore tempting for us to buy, but the things that would be replaced would be the things WE WANT not what THEY WANT US TO EAT. It's down to the people on the ground to do this not those at the top of the food chain/market - exactly the same goes with medicines and pharmaceutical companies.

We all need to start standing our ground more and to have the confidence to say to our Doctors ' are there any alternative things we could try first' or ' actually Doctor, I don't want to try this medication I would prefer to try this alternative first.

If you would like to know more about what we do, please feel free to contact us EMAIL .

Let's all start to make this a healthier world for us all  (including our animals) to live in.

Thank you.

All or nothing - a sad but common experience

All or nothing - we wonder how you imagine this statement.

How many people have you heard say "it's all or nothing"  in your lifetime? perhaps it was an animal you had seen across a fence, and you were thinking about the amount of times it is shown care and attention. Or perhaps it was yourself thinking "for months on end there has been nothing on then all of a sudden in one weekend you receive numerous invites" . Or perhaps it was someone who hadn't been well but would often say " I haven't seen any one for days then all of a sudden every one comes in one day and all at the same time - I'm exhausted"  Or perhaps it was an elderly person who might not have seen any one for a day or two then every one pops in on the same day and again at the same time.  Or perhaps you know of someone who has a carer going in at set times of the day and visitors arrive at the same time, but they already knew that the carers go in at  the same time daily, but half way through with the sudden commotion  the person they are visiting  nods off - out of exhaustion from trying to keep up with all the conversations. Or perhaps you've seen an elephant chained up for hours at a time then all of a sudden it's in the centre of a circus for half an hour with thousands of screaming humans, but  then the poor elephant is chained up for the next 23.5 hours of the day.

Or perhaps  a zoo animal - being deafened by sounds that are unnatural to them but they have to cope with it, yet it is at dark time that they are only able to listen to their sounds of nature that should be enjoyed in daylight hours . .  is it fair, is it equal. Would we like to be stared at all day?

Let's put ourselves in their shoes - let's think what they might be thinking, could it be . . .

  • On the elephant front - "wish I could be in a wide open pasture, free to roam where I want for the 23.5 hours that I am not having to work - I wouldn't be chained, I wouldn't be beaten if I took a few steps in the wrong direction,  if nature had wanted us to be stationary animals we wouldn't have been born with legs or a body fit to cope with walking many km's  a day" or could it be, " if I was born to be a ballerina then I would not have the size of body I have. My kind, were created by Nature to be in a natural environment and free to roam".
  • On the Human Socialising front " I must try and balance my socialising out a bit, it's not fair on the kids! or perhaps " I'm just not fit enough to cope with as much socialising in one weekend - I must try and balance it out equally"
  • For an  individual who perhaps doesn't keep very  well " I so want to listen to them all but my ears can't cope any more, I so wish people would spread their visits out a bit so that I had a visitor every day instead of ten in one day, or perhaps if they could come when the carers aren't in, then it wouldn't make my day so long and empty, or perhaps I am so delighted to see everyone but I can't cope with hearing everyone at the one time but  I just put up with it, but it would be so much nicer if they came individually instead of en mass then I could speak to them on a one to one basis and have a wee nap inbetween.
These are just a few examples but there are millions more.

This topic relates very much to the weighing scales on the picture on Nature's Physician's facebook page -

Let's all try and make every individual's day as  healthy, safe, balanced and as  fair as possible and consider, for a second, what we would feel if we were in their shoes.

Today facebook, emails and attachments fill the majority of people's days but remember there are many who have none of these or who are unable to work a computer, remember the old fashioned way of knocking on your neighbours door to say " coooeee, any one in" let's all re-activate this face to face or door to door method of saying 'hello, how are you today?" there are many doors which never open on a daily basis, there are many people out there who don't experience the sun on their faces, there are many people out there who's walls are shrinking in on them, why not take some of the outside world in to their inside world, or take them from their inside world to the outside world and watch their faces light up with joy.

Thank you one and all for reading this post.

Why not come over and see what the topic of today is on our facebook page . There's health, elephant, horse, animal and many other topics and quotes.

Hundreds of fish are being found dead . . . and we wonder why!

Sadly we came across this article, for those of you who have had diet sheets over the years and asked questions on fish then most of you will remember our comments . . . well here we go . . .

MASS FISH DEATHS: MILLIONS HAVE BEEN FOUND DEAD ALL OVER THE WORLD IN THE PAST MONTH . . ..

It was just a matter of time before this happened . . . from the many diet sheets we have created for individuals specific chemical balances and health issues (including animals) 99% of these individuals have a reaction to a large majority of fish . . .it is not at all surprising - especially when you discover such articles as these.

There is clearly something polluting the water and as a result of this, although may not kill certain fish in certain parts of the world, what they are filter feeding on clearly has an effect on certain health issues. If you suffer from I.B.S., Skin issues, Bowel Issues, Acid reflux, Digestion issues and want to get to the bottom of it naturally then as the saying often goes ' we are what we eat both in body and in mind is absolutely true.

All that needs to be looked at is the direction of the sea - - and there will be your answer . . If we have time we might have a look at the geographical positioning to see what we come up with. If this is coming from Pollution through our Land streams and rivers then there may well be a mass death of land animals as well. However, it may also be, if the source comes from Land then after a period of time in the salt water it may become more toxic . . . . which ever way . . please for your over all health sake and the children you have, be careful what you eat - - thank you or if you would like us to help you do contact us or join us on facebook . . . although our postings there are not so in depth as they are on this site but there are some very useful links and tips.

Sunder " Am I dreaming"

"I have never been here before, I haven't been beaten for ages, or hurt for a while either, what's up, this is so foreign to me, wonder what's going to happen next, it seems all too good to be true, all these faces I don't know, I sense a few unusually caring hearts, or is this just my dream come true, or am I sleeping , dreaming or imagining I am going to pastures new, no, surely this can't be true, is it, can someone reassure me I am not dreaming, or am I in heaven.

My days and nights, every minute, every second for years I have dreamt of this moment, wow, where am I going, I sense an air of warmth around me, like a barrier of protection, but invisible protection, who's doing this, how is it happening, maybe there are some people and animals out there that really care, are they sending me protection? I like it, but am frightened to like it' please, someone reassure me.

If I shut my eyes, and open them again, will I be back in that dingy shed, in darkness, rocking form side to side, dreading those footsteps and the beatings . . someone please reassure me.

If it's true, if I wake up somewhere new, I might get over excited and not know what to do, please forgive me if I do, I will settle, I just need time and the right key to help me, but I sense there are others to guide me, but no beatings, I am bruised and ache enough"

Thank you one and all.

Sunder on his way to . . .

Apparently the above has brought tears to a few people, our founder sent a reply to one of them and we feel we should share it here for those who do not have access to facebook :

"Sorry Margaret, I didn't mean to make you cry, but poor Sunder has been crying for years, but the tears you shed now are not yours, they are his, his release of disbelief . . . many people will shed many a tear, but rest assured, they are ours and his of happiness and disbelief. As long as he is now treated on a 50/50 communication level and understanding then he will be happy just as we all will be. He deserves the rest of his life in a special place to make up for the turmoill and the aches and pains he has had right through to the core of his heart, bone and muscle. Bless him and all those who have helped him both physically, in an official and spiritual manner, without he would still be in his painfully dreaded shed. Without 50/50 many a living creature suffers, they all need help or /and all their carers need to learn how to communicate on a 50/50 level. And as a final little note for Sunder, we have given you so many scratches and here, is a specially big one for coping with your journey or your new chapter in your book of life".

Sunder has arrived . . . amazing . . . here is a link to a video of him sitting under a tree, under the sunshine with a lot of natural foliage and food around his trunk . another few weeks should see a change in him, perhaps his massive smile today will be superseded by an even larger smile from hip bone to hip bone.

Here is the link to our original post on Sunder, it pin points sore areas and some of his thoughts.

To domineer or to use 50/50 a.k.a patience and understanding of body language . . . . .

When attending an animal yesterday with a few issues we were hit with this question / comment by the Client :

' when I was 19 I remember tying a large animal up, putting the loop of a rope under a foot and the other end attached taughtly to a loop under the chin I think this would work for this animal, a 'self teaching lesson, what are your thoughts?'

We would classify, as much as it is wrong to stereotype,  this individual, in his past anyway,  as a traditional animal breaker but it is a route that we never ever go down, but to say this without sounding overly negative or in a way that might put the person off from giving their animal a natural chance to be sorted wasn't easy. Our response was our famous Mmmm! followed by a few moments of silence.

If an animal has already been domineered then it will be quick to use it's natural 'flight' instinct but to get a true result with respect from both parties then we absolutely use 50/50 communication.

If an animal has been used to being domineered in the traditional fashion, then to use its' own language is foreign to it at least when being used by humans, so the response is even quicker, often to the amazement of the owners.

Yesterday's work carried out was no exception to this rule . . and a few hours later the owner said 'I can't believe the patience and the understanding you have - that was amazing' thank you so much.

Prior to our work carried out the owner of this animal had an extremely anxious look and air about him, but by the time we left his smile was as large as a Cheshire cats and his whole body looked, lighter, less shakey and in general 100% better, just as the animal had changed its' own air of contentment and understanding of what was being asked of it - WITHOUT pain, bribery and corruption, bull hooks, chains or ropes, indeed we succeeded without the animal feeling domineered at all. . . a tremendous ending and one that we feel so humbled about -  yet another animal understood by the world around it by using 50/50 communication only.

Feel free to visit our facebook page, perhaps you would like to help elephants who are broken in a totally inhumane way . . . Thank you

.

Your energy is needed for Sunder

Please everyone, could you take a moment out on a daily basis to meditate or aim your thoughts and positive energy towards Sunder. He is going through a dreadful time at the moment all thanks to the greed of humans. He needs all the energy from individuals who have the ability to send positive rays in his direction. On behalf of him, thank you.

Life is like a tree . .

Life can be . . .

One of our lovely people sent us a photograph of an incredibly awesome tree situated right in the middle of New York City - so as a half way through the year photo we decided to add a phrase or two to it.

So, no matter where you are in the world take some strength and courage from it, but above all always remember to see the beauty within everything that life happens to put in front of you.

With thanks to Lisa for this beautiful photograph

The Power of Nature . take strength from it . . .

No words are needed for this posting apart from
May your day be as beautiful as this picture.

Thank you Simon Davies

Every one has a talent, sometimes these talents need to be tickled to come to the surface but the talent this gentleman has to catch the most awesome Sunsets and other pictures of nature is tremendous . . Thank you Simon for giving us permission to use your photos to spread to other people in other parts of the world who rarely see such heart warming pictures.

Caution it's Laminitis time of year . . .

This is more of a Caution Post to everyone to warn them of fresh flushes of grass and one of the most painful side effects from new grass growth - LAMINTIS. Yes, it's that time of year again, the sun, the rain, then the sudden growth of grass . .  . watch your horses and ponies . . watch their whole body movement, the speed they move, the way they move, the way they stand, whether they are rocking from leg to leg and check the temperature of each hoof daily. Of course if your horse is clearly lame make sure it is not a poisoned hoof first and get it checked by a specialist and treat accordingly.

If you have recently purchased a horse or pony, take a look, a close look at their hooves if there are marked rings half to an eighth of the way up your horses hooves then your horse or pony is likely to have suffered from Laminitis before.

If you find your horse or pony's movement changing, bring him/her/them in for part of the day but making sure that he/she has room to move around with a soft bed to lie down on. Some people say it's best to bring them in through the day and out in the evening, others say too much grass at any part of the day is negative for a laminitic pony or one that is prone to laminitis. Often horses and ponies hooves, who are prone to laminitis, grow much quicker at this time of year so make sure your ask your Blacksmith to visit  regularly to keep all hooves trimmed back and above all make sure you pick your horses hooves out on a regular basis.

If you are keeping them in, reduce the amount hay and feed they get and a handy hint or one way to reduce their intake of hay is to put two or three haynets inside each other and then fill the central hay net up and tie all hay nets together, which reduces the amount of hay strands that they can eat at a time, but it still gives them something to graze on.

Remember a change of pastures can also trigger Laminitis  -  keep an eye open -

Another urgent call out today to a 4 year old gelding

It's always a joy spending time helping troubled animals or animals who react because of either a previous experience or because it just does not know what is being asked of it.

However, what we find even more interesting and sad in a way,  is the amount of animals that see their owners as a bag of goodies or a pocketful of treats.

We also find it extremely disturbing that many people, especially animal dealers, who break their animals or train them as quickly as possible for the sake of a quick turnaround, or for financial gain, but in the process, can often, mentally scar the animal making them anxious of future humans when they are approached in a similar manner or to if they are approached at a specific area near their body, that is at least, until they come across someone to desensitize the area or areas that either trigger a negative memory or pull the pain memory to the fore which nine times out of ten has been, sadly created by a human or humans in the first place, sometimes leaving certain areas untouchable and the animal learning all the tricks in the book to dodge the sensitive area(s) from being touched or an issue being addressed in a calm manner.

As you will be aware by now we do  not use food as a treat at all, we just learn to communicate with each animal on its' own level or from the way it reacts and then we encourage it, positively (without food as a treat, to WANT to do something in a safe and acceptable way. However, the most important thing is to encourage the owner and the animal to work together. After all, if it is just the communicator or desensitizer that fixes the animal in a way it understands then there will be little understanding between both the animal and the owner and the problem the owner had will remain.

First and foremost it is the safety for both the animal and the human that we are most concerned about so we consider it our job to desensitize the animals first and then introduce the owner/carer to the method that we discover works best per animal (each being slightly different of course) so that by the time we leave both are communicating on a  50/50 level.

As a number of people have said the results from using 50/50 communication often leave the owners feeling dumbfounded, shell-shocked or as some say ' gobsmacked! Initially their thoughts are 'it will take an age to sort the problem', but are nine times out of ten surprised how short a period of time it takes to resolve an issue.

Having spent about twenty minutes on a 'paint' who was extremely uneasy about lifting his hooves we managed to make him realise that there was no reason for him to use his 'flight' techniques to get away from the area that he did not want to be touched or handled. In fact by the end he was asking for his hooves to be lifted  - what  more could an owner want - at the gentle touch of a fetlock for the hoof to lift. Sami was a true gentleman by the end but more to the point his owner was so shocked at his ability to lift his hooves that he thought he was almost in a dream - we pinched him to realise that he wasn't though.

Whilst there, the owner said that he had a problem mounting this gelding as well, and wondered whether we could take 5 minutes to hold him whilst he got on.  Of course we said, what's the problem, 'well as you are mounting him he bucks and rears . . . . but once you are on him he is fine . . . . ' well, now this is a dangerous area, and one that a horse as young as this does not need to start to learn at this early stage in its' life otherwise it could damage itself and someone and if in the wrong hands could become worse to the point that confidence is lost in both rider and horse.

Because the lifting of the hooves problem did not take that long we said we would certainly help but would prefer if we could see where or why he was doing this in the first place. Giving the rider strict instructions not to get on until we were ready and that he shouldn't flinch an inch either until we suggested.

Sami accepted being tacked up, a bit flinchy about the girth but that's nothing unusual for a young horse. He walked out fine, but sure enough as soon as he came to the mounting block he started to create. However, 40 minutes later using 50/50 communication, which means no edible treats and no aggressive body language, he stood like a lamb. This process was repeated and each time Sami allowed his owner to get on smoothly without a fuss. Another added bonus for both Horse and owner.

Photo's to follow. (our one ran out of charge).

A Dalmations automatic barking, aggression and pulling . . . .

Brought in to check within minutes - without using bribery and corruption (a.k.a. a food treat).

We had the absolute joy of giving a gorgeous brown and white deaf and incredibly intelligent Dalmatian a training Session today. as many of you know we don't believe in giving edible treats as a reward, we just use the animals' own language as a reward. In this case this was very much feeling and visual language because this Dali was deaf. Using the animals own language (of which each animal has its' own) gives a much quicker response, almost instantaneous.

The trick from then on is not to revert back to ITS' old way' and sticking to the new language that the animal already communicates with. Not only does the animal appreciate this 50/50 communication but it gives a better understanding all round.

Well done to both - keep it up. You both did tremendously well and the lesson was learnt in about 20 minutes - keep it up - there should be no looking back -

Reply from owner :

Unbelievable results in minutes!! Who knew it would be that easy for me to learn how to solve the problem- will definately be keeping the training up- can't recommend Nature's Physician enough!!
